Project Description: Melanoma is a malignant and highly aggressive form of skin cancer with rising incidence. For patients diagnosed with metastatic melanoma, the prognosis remains poor, with a five-year survival rate of just 30%. This research aims to combine image, clinical and genetic data to develop deep learning-based techniques for improved histopathological insights into melanoma. By doing so, we hope to better understand melanoma disease progression and survival to improve patient stratification and potentially provide more personalised therapeutic options.
